Tim Kelly - Owner of Kelly Auto Group

Tim Kelly is the third generation of his family to own and operate dealerships. His grandfather, Jim Ayers, started off selling Oaklands in Birmingham, AL after college in the 20's and opened Ayers Motor Company (selling Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and LaSalle) in 1939. Mr. Ayers' son-in-law, Patrick Kelly, took over operations after Mr. Ayers and ran the store from 1968- 2003, picking up the SAAB, Subaru, and Hummer franchises.

Tim graduated from Baylor School in Chattanooga and went on to earn a BA in Comparative Literature from Columbia University, where he graduated as a John Jay Scholar. He currently holds the honor of being the most over-educated car salesman in the continental US.
